Community Dinner

On August 22, one street in downtown Easton will be transformed into a dining hall, of sorts. In conjunction with Easton’s 300th anniversary, there will be a free community dinner served from 3 to 7 p.m. to anyone who would like to sit with friends and neighbors and break bread (and pasta, and salad).

On Harrison Street, from Dover to Goldsborough streets, tables will be set up and servers will deliver meals from various buffet stations. There will be four, one-hour seatings. Anyone interested in participating may pick up the free tickets at the Easton Resource Center, located at 11 South Harrison Street, next to Troika Gallery.

For anyone interested in volunteering, there is a need for set up, break down, as well as serving the meals and clearing the tables. There will be plenty of people needed to serve – and eat – the 700 pounds of tomatoes and 120 pounds of pasta donated for the special feast. For more information, call 410-820-8822.
