HONORING 45 YEARS OF SERVICE
A reception at Talbot Country Club on May 9 honored Phyllis Matthai, assistant to the president of Shore Health, on her retirement from more than four decades of service to Memorial Hospital and Shore Health. The occasion attracted health care leaders past and present, as well as many friends of the honoree and other business and civic leaders who came to know Phyllis over the years.

EASTON BEAUTIFICATION DAY
A “little” rain on May 7 didn’t keep members of the Talbot County Garden Club, including Sherry Burke, Meredith Watters, Kay Perkins, Nancy Besso, Priscilla Thut, Charlotte Ehlig, Pam Andrews, Ellen Rajaich (kneeling, left), and Lauren Little, from digging in the dirt on Easton Beautification Day. Club members worked in the pouring rain planting flowers and weeding garden beds for four hours to help make Easton one of the most beautiful towns in America.
